Executed in layers of black, bone, and gold leaf, Contour is fundamentally simple in its materials yet endlessly dynamic in meaning. The very same contours become contours of entirely different forms depending on how the canvas is turned — some may read the work as softly figurative when viewed horizontally, or abstracted mountains when positioned vertically.

Soft shades of bone meet sharp black contours, creating a balance of fluidity and structure with subtle seams of gold leaf glistening in between. This work inviting the viewer to discover new shapes and interpretations each time they look. Minimalist yet dynamic.
